Throughout the insulation industry, the general consensus amongst professional contractors is that spray foam insulation is the best insulating product on the market. When it’s compared to other products in the same category, the spray foam product comes out as superior in so many ways. So if you’re currently shopping for an insulation product, and if you’re considering spray foam insulation in Ajax, it may be a good time to consider Great Northern Insulation as your contractor. We stand behind everything we install, and deliver 100% customer satisfaction.
GNI is a reputable, well-respected company, and well established throughout Durham Region. Our approach to product and installation is best described by our company motto - we seal it tight and ventilate it right. It makes for installations that are complete and comprehensive. Our spray foam applications are expertly managed and skilfully installed, and when compared to other products or product combinations, nothing comes close to the performance level of the spray foam product. Indeed, for GNI, spray foam has become the product of choice.
For the professionals in the industry, spray foam insulation is quite simply a better product. It’s also referred to as polyurethane foam, and at Great Northern Insulation, we recommend the product for various applications - new construction, renovation projects, and retrofitting. Spray foam will do a better job and provide more benefits than similar insulation products: it seals more completely and thoroughly than anything else; it provides a higher R-value rating than other products; and it adds structural strength to the area where its applied.
The spray foam product is the ideal solution for large, expansive areas, and is regarded as the ultimate insulating product. It’s ideal for sizable spaces like the roof, attic, or even inside a wall cavity, and with the proper install, coverage is total and complete. When applied, a space is entirely coated, with every opening sealed, and every little crack and crevice covered. There is no other product that can coat and seal like this. The final layer of insulation is impervious to both air and moisture and therefore eliminates the need for a separate vapor barrier.
When expertly applied, the foam insulation is sprayed out using specialized equipment and a nozzle attachment that allows the thick liquid foam to spread out evenly. The coating expands quickly, and then hardens into a super-dense envelope of insulation. The spray foam coverage provides more than just insulation, and can benefit the entire building. Energy efficiency is optimized; air circulation is enhanced, which in turn, improves air quality; and the HVAC unit operates to its potential. Everything works in balance, and seasonal utility bills are reduced.
When installed as part of a complete “insulation system”, spray foam succeeds in resolving a number of issues: higher-than-normal heating and cooling costs are eliminated; heating and cooling cycles from one season to the next are better balanced; and poorly performing HVAC equipment starts to perform more efficiently. However, no matter how superior the product is, it will not perform to its full capacity if not properly installed. Installation is best left to the experts - to those who understand the product, and the uniqueness of the install.
For spray foam insulation in Ajax, Great Northern Insulation has teams of installers who are skilled and experienced. They have many years of project expertise; they follow building codes when they install; they obey the regional and local by-laws; and they always install according to the manufacturer’s product specifications. In fact, we provide our customers with the warranty from the manufacturer. At GNI, we do it right the first time, regardless of project size or scope. And nothing comes between our commitment to full customer satisfaction.
When it comes to the actual installation, we just can’t overstate the importance of a good install. Our install teams are experts – they are licensed and certified; they properly prepare the work site; they abide by the manufacturer’s guidelines; and they use safety gear and protective wear on every job. Above all, we make sure to safeguard occupants and/or residents. GNI installers make certain to understand the nuances of a given project and the challenges that are posed. It’s another example of doing the job right the first time.
At GNI, our policy is to recommend products that suit the customer’s needs. On one hand, we will recommend the spray foam product for large and small applications, in new construction, renovations or retrofits. On the other hand, we will discourage customers from engaging in a DIY project – spray foam is really not a weekend, do-it-yourself project. Simply put, the product requires special handling, and the complexities of installation are best handled by those who have the associated skills and training.
Industry statistics show tremendous growth in spray foam usage (about 40% growth per year in the last decade). This is primarily because the product has proven itself so well. And even though the spray foam product can be more costly than others, a “cost-benefit” evaluation indicates that the initial upfront cost is worthwhile in the long run. Spray foam insulation is a premium product with premium benefits - it will last a lifetime; does not need replacement; does not need replenishment; and has a “pay-back” period between 2 and 7 years.
With so much focus on energy efficiency and reduced consumption, the focus on proper sealing and insulation has also come to the forefront. And so, spray foam insulation has become the “go to” product for the professionals. If you are shopping for spray foam insulation in Ajax, or in the communities east of the GTA, Great Northern Insulation is worth considering. We’ll show you how we do it right, the first time. As Canada's largest full-service insulation contractor, we have earned the loyalty, respect and trust of all our customers.
