If you’re planning to insulate your attic, and if you’re shopping for attic insulation in Orillia, a few things are worth considering. For example, it’s critical to choose the right insulation product, and it’s critical to choose the right contractor for the job. Since you’re the customer, it’s important for you to understand the job itself - like your intentions and objectives. The more you understand, the better – you’ll be making better decisions throughout the life of the project. As for choosing the right contractor, an established and reputable company is the best bet.
Great Northern Insulation is recognized as Canada’s largest full-service insulation contractor. We are known for quality products and quality installations. It means that we sell top-quality products and install professionally with expertise. We also want our customers to understand the challenges of their project because we want them to make informed decisions along the way. We believe that this kind of contractor/customer relationship makes for better results and outcomes for the project at hand. And it allows us to deliver the best in customer service and support.
As consumers, we seem to be bombarded constantly by advertising and marketing for insulation products. Manufacturers tell us their product is the best, and contractors tell us their installations are the best. In the end, it’s more confusing than informative, and it makes for difficult purchasing decisions. A reliable and reputable contractor will make this process simple and straightforward. They will answer your questions truthfully; they will make recommendations that suit the job; and they will focus on your needs as the customer. In short, your satisfaction should be number one.
Hiring a contracting company that’s well established and with a good reputation can make all the difference. The people at Great Northern Insulation work with you from end to end - they address all project pre-requisites fully, and provide workable solutions that confront the challenges of the job. GNI is known for doing the job right the first time, regardless of the size of the job. It means that we install only quality products, and provide quality installations that meet the test of time. In this way, we can ensure that the installed product performs and delivers long-term results.
Attic insulation projects at GNI are complete and comprehensive. We begin with an in-depth attic assessment; we then provide a status report to reflect that assessment; and finally, we suggest the appropriate products and installation. GNI recommends products and installations that specifically address the challenges of the project. Our focus is on the customer’s requisites and we always take budget into consideration. You’ll be in good hands when you contract Great Northern Insulation, and you’ll always feel confident that your satisfaction as our customer is a priority.
For GNI, every project is a combination of quality products and quality workmanship. Regardless of project size, the manufacturer’s product warranty is provided, along with a company guarantee for the installation. In the event of a problem, we undertake to resolve the problem. In the event that repairs are required, we undertake to solve those repairs, and to meet the industry standard. If you are planning to insulate your attic, and you’re shopping for attic insulation in Orillia, take a look at Great Northern Insulation – your project satisfaction is guaranteed.
Attic insulation for GNI always begins with sealing. We seal every hole, opening, crack and crevice, making for an attic space that is totally airtight. Sealing assures that the insulation product will perform to full potential and provide significant energy savings during the coldness of winter and the hotness of summer. Sealing properly and insulating effectively allows for the most efficient “system” - an attic space that is sealed, ventilated, and insulated. It’s a “system” that will deliver substantial homeowner benefits, both in the short term and the long term.
A number of insulation products are suitable for the attic. But today, most insulation professionals have come to the conclusion that spray foam insulation is the very best. Indeed, it has become a favorite at GNI, and has turned into the “go to” product for large and expansive spaces like attics. Over and over again, spray foam has proven itself as the best on the market. It has more benefits than the other products, and offers the highest R-Value when comparisons are made. For Great Northern Insulation, the spray foam product has quickly become the preferred installation.
In an application, the spray foam product is “sprayed” into a space like the attic with specialized equipment that allows the foam to spread out uniformly. It hardens into a thick, dense blanket of insulation, completely coating everything – the wooden support beams, the plumbing pipes, the HVAC ductwork, and all of the electrical cables and wiring. The finished insulated space has the highest R-Value of any product, and simultaneously provides an impermeable barrier to both air and moisture. There is, quite simply, no better way to insulate the attic, and no better product.
Another product to consider for the attic is “blown-in” insulation. This product is available in either fiberglass or cellulose and is an affordable application for any budget. “Blown-in” insulation has a “fluffy” nature, and is intended to restrict airflow in the attic – it makes for a very effective insulator and is ideal for the attic space. It’s fire resistant, mold and mildew resistant, and prevents insects and rodents from gathering. When this product is properly installed, it can be applied on top of any existing insulation, and will provide a first-rate “thermal blanket” with first-rate R-Value.
For the best in attic insulation, the team at GNI suggests a “hybrid” approach. This is a combination of the spray foam product AND the blown-in product. Depending on the application, the installer uses the spray foam product WITH the fiberglass blown-in product, OR the spray foam product WITH the cellulose blown-in product. The spray foam product seals and insulates, and the “blown-in” insulation provides added insulation and excellent dollar-value per installed inch. GNI routinely recommends the “hybrid” approach for its exceptional insulation value and it’s excellent cost value.
