If it’s time to insulate your attic and you’re shopping around for attic insulation in Aurora, there are a few things are worth considering. It’s important, for example, to choose an insulation product that’s specific for the job. It’s equally important to choose a company that’s suitable for the job. Finally, it’s important for you (as the customer) to understand the project itself and the particular challenges that are posed. An informed and knowledgeable customer makes better decisions and works well with the contractor. And when it comes to choosing the right contractor, choose wisely.
Great Northern Insulation is well known as Canada’s largest full-service insulation contractor. We are also well known for our emphasis on quality - we sell quality products and we install with skill and expertise. GNI also encourages customers to get a good understanding of their attic insulation project. It makes for more informed decisions from the beginning of the project to the end, and it makes for a client/contractor relationship that delivers better outcomes. Overall, a well-founded relationship allows the contractor to provide the best possible customer service and support.
Choosing the right product for the attic can be difficult, mainly because we’re getting constantly bombarded with all kinds of advertising and marketing. Manufacturers advertise their product as the best, and contractors advertise their services as the best. It’s often more confusing than it is informative, and it makes the purchasing decision difficult. However, when you contract a reliable, reputable company, questions are answered frankly, and project recommendations are specific to the job. A good company will address your needs and ensure your satisfaction as a customer.
Hiring an insulation company that’s established and recognized can make a difference during the life of a project. At Great Northern Insulation, we work with you from start to finish. We address the specific requisites of the project and we suggest solutions that resolve the challenges posed. We do the job right the first time, installing only quality products, and always providing the highest quality installation. Doing it right the first time ensures that the product and installation will BOTH perform as advertised, and will deliver homeowner benefits for years to come.
Attic insulation from GNI is complete and comprehensive. We start with an in-depth attic appraisal; we continue with a summarized report; and we finish with our recommendations for products and installations. GNI only recommends products and installations that suit the job. We focus on the customer’s needs, and we make certain that the project budget is taken into consideration. When you hire Great Northern Insulation for your attic insulation, you’ll be in capable hands from the moment we arrive - and you’ll feel confident that you, the customer, are the priority.
Large project or small, GNI combines quality products with quality workmanship – every time. We provide the manufacturer’s warranty on the products we install, and provide a company guarantee on the work we perform. In the event that there is a problem, we are committed to solving that problem. In the event that a repair is required, we are committed to making the repair and meeting the industry standard. So if it’s time to insulate the attic, and you’re looking for attic insulation in Aurora, take a good look at Great Northern Insulation.
For the team at GNI, proper attic insulation always starts with sealing. We seal up every hole, gap, crack and crevice, and make sure that the attic is completely airtight. Sealing will guarantee that the installed insulation performs to its potential, and provides noticeable energy savings in the winter AND the summer. Sealing and insulation work together as an efficient “system”. When we’re done, the attic space is sealed, ventilated, and insulated. We have created a “system” that brings meaningful energy saving benefits to the homeowner, both short term and long term.
Needless to say, there are numerous insulating products available today, and some are specifically designed for the attic. In recent years, industry professionals have opted for spray foam insulation as their product-of-choice. It has also become a favorite for the team at GNI, and an ideal option for large, expansive spaces like the attic. Year after year, the spray foam product has established itself as the best insulating product in the business. And when compared to other similar products, spray foam has many more benefits, while offering higher R-Values than all the rest.
When applied by an expert, the spray foam product is “sprayed” throughout the attic using special application equipment. The foam spreads out uniformly, quickly hardens into a dense layer, and coats everything: the support beams; the plumbing pipes; the HVAC ducts; and all of the electrical wiring. The final, finished insulation provides the highest R-Value of any product on the market. It also acts as an impassable barrier to BOTH air and moisture. Quite simply, there isn’t a better attic insulation product than spray foam, and nothing that delivers as many benefits in one application.
Another good product option for the attic is “blown-in” insulation, which is available in fiberglass or cellulose compositions. This is a very affordable insulation product that creates a “thermal blanket” with impressive R-Values. The fluffy composition of “blown-in” insulation is designed to restrict airflow through the attic. It’s an effective insulator; it’s fire resistant; mold and mildew resistant; and prevents the collection of insects and rodents. When professionally installed, the product can be blown on top of any existing insulation, as long as it’s clean and uncontaminated.
For Great Northern Insulation, the best approach to attic insulation is a “hybrid” approach. And depending on the job, GNI would combine spray foam insulation AND fiberglass blown-in insulation OR spray foam insulation AND cellulose blown-in insulation. The whole idea is for the spray foam to effectively seal and insulate, and for the “blown-in” product to add extra R-Value, while bringing excellent dollar-value per installed inch. The “hybrid” does it all – it delivers outstanding insulation value for the long term, and excellent dollar-value for the customer’s project budget.
