Effective end of day Monday, February 5th, Enbridge Gas will not be accepting any new applicants to the HER+ program. If you are a homeowner who has not completed a pre-retrofit energy assessment prior to Monday, February 5th, or have a pre-retrofit energy assessment booked after February 5th, 2024, will not be able to enter the HER+ program for a rebate.
Any homeowners who had a pre-retrofit energy assessment completed on or before Monday, February 5th can continue with their retrofits and will continue to be eligible for funding.

As of January 4, 2023, the Canada Greener Homes Grant is being co-delivered across Ontario by Natural Resources Canada and Enbridge Gas under the new title of Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+). This new rebate program offers entirely updated - and oftentimes significantly increased - rebates for many home efficiency upgrades, including up to $10,000 for home insulation upgrades for homeowners who are Enbridge customers. If you are not an Enbridge customer, you may be eligible for up to $5,000 in rebates.
If you are an Ontario homeowner who applied for the Canada Greener Homes Grant prior to January 4, 2023, you must still utilize the CGHG portal to manage your grant application.
The Home Efficiency Rebate Plus offers simplifies available rebates into two offerings:
One important differentiating factor between the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program and past programs available in Ontario is that only one retrofit upgrade is required to qualify for rebates, whereas some previous programs required multiple.
Regardless of which rebate package you qualify for, your available rebate amounts have been updated for the launch of the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program and differ from the previously-available rebate amounts. Additionally, new eligibility criteria allow more Ontarians to qualify for rebates, outlined below.
