Spray Foam Premium Insulation Systems

Great Northern Insulation is the largest applicator of spray-in-place polyurethane foam insulation systems in Ontario. Our product of choice is WALLTITE ECO™. WALLTITE ECO™ exceeds the requirements of the National Building Code of Canada and is the only spray polyurethane foam air barrier system on the market today that successfully meets the durability test of appendix D of the "Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC) Technical Guide for Air Barrier Systems for Exterior Walls of Low-Rise Buildings." WALLTITE ECO™ systems also conform to CAN/ULC-S705.1 (including amendments 1 and 2). CCMC is the Canadian Construction Material Centre and is part of the National Research Council (NRC).

Blown-in Fibres: Attics and Walls

Cellulose

Great Northern Insulation uses Climatizer Plus cellulose blowing insulation consisting of shredded newsprint that has been treated with an anti-fungal, fire retardant product. Made of 100% recycled and processed paper, the resultant product is returned to individual cellulose wood fibers which provide R-3.85/inch of thickness.

Fiberglass

At Great Northern Insulation we use fiberglass blowing insulation which provides R-3/per inch of thickness. This fiberglass is identical to that used to manufacture pre-formed batts you can buy at your building supply store except it is chopped & ground up to allow blowing to depths up to R-50.

Owens Corning PROPINK Wall Insulation System

Great Northern Insulation is always looking for the best products and insulation solutions to offer our customers. From the most trusted name in fiberglass insulations comes the premium fiberglass wall insulation system. It is an alternative to roll or batt insulation in walls, ceilings or other enclosed cavity applications, for both new and retrofit projects. It eliminates gaps and pockets which may result with other approaches providing a "seamless" blanket of insulation.

Ventilation

‘There is more to insulating than just adding insulation’. At Great Northern Insulation our sales and installation teams are constantly learning and applying the cumulative knowledge from the Building Science community. Air Sealing

At Great Northern Insulation we identify and eliminate the locations where air leakage can compromise the energy efficiency, comfort and health of our customers. Using air sealing and weatherization techniques and products we can improve the performance of both new and retrofit projects. Great Northern Insulation can supply and install a complete spectrum of products to achieve this goal including single component canister foam, two component froth pak foam, sprayed polyurethane foam, caulking, weather-stripping and rigid foam products.
